Armchair Choreography Workshops:

​In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to try their hand at collaborative choreography in a safe, comfortable group setting. First, participants will make simple two-dimensional art (collage and drawing) all together at the table from which we will gather images and ideas. We will then apply those images and ideas to the process of making a short solo dance which will be performed at the end of class by our facilitator, Karen Bray. Using simple choreographic tools, participants will transform the movements of the dance and ask Karen to try different variations until the group agrees that they have created a dance to their liking. We will then choose music and watch the dance!
